Here’s how I help

Discovery & Requirements Definition
Enterprise Discovery Leadership: Leading structured discovery to align business objectives with Salesforce capabilities, capture cross-functional requirements, and define project scope.
Requirements Definition: Defining what the system should do based on business objectives and functional needs.
Business Process Optimization: A bad process in Salesforce is still a bad process, just faster. I help teams rethink workflows, apply business best practices, and optimize processes before automation.

Execution & Delivery
Product Ownership & Agile Execution: Driving alignment between business and technical teams, establishing team processes that align with Agile principles, improving internal organization, and establishing design and development governance for smooth delivery.
Backlog Organization & Prioritization: Structuring work to keep teams focused on high-impact tasks that align with business priorities.
Stakeholder & Change Management: Helping teams navigate complexity, break down silos, and drive successful adoption.

User Experience, Validation & Testing
User Story Writing: Defining work based on user needs, business value, and validated acceptance criteria.
End-to-End Testing & UAT: Guiding teams through structured validation cycles to confirm Salesforce solutions are usable, scalable, and aligned with real-world business needs.
Demos & Feedback Loops: Leading interactive reviews to refine solutions before launch.
User Experience Design Principles: Applying usability best practices to Salesforce implementations.

Strategy & Advisory
Salesforce Optimization Strategy: Helping teams align Salesforce with business goals to drive measurable impact.
Executive & Stakeholder Advisory: Engaging leadership and cross-functional teams to identify gaps, improve processes, and drive adoption.
Governance & Best Practices: Establishing decision-making frameworks, standing up Centers of Excellence, and documenting DevOps processes to ensure scalable, long-term Salesforce success.

About Me
I’m Vanessa Grant, a freelance #BadassBA, strategist, and product owner based in Los Angeles. With over 15 years in the Salesforce ecosystem and managing people and projects since 2005, I’ve seen firsthand how well-designed solutions and strong business analysis practices can mean the difference between a struggling implementation and a Salesforce investment that actually delivers business success.
I specialize in enterprise Salesforce projects, the kind that require careful planning, strong governance, and the perseverance to bring multiple stakeholders together for long-term success. These projects are complex, expensive, and high-stakes, which is why they need more than just execution. They need the right strategy from the start. I work with organizations to streamline their Salesforce processes and deliver structured, impactful digital transformations that drive real business value.
Beyond my consulting work, I’m a mentor, coach, and educator, helping professionals navigate and grow in their Salesforce careers. I’ve spoken at 20+ conferences and events, including Dreamforce, TrailblazerDX, London’s Calling, and Midwest Dreamin’, as well as international and virtual events across the Salesforce ecosystem. I also co-lead the Salesforce Business Analyst (Virtual) Trailhead Community Group with over 1,000 members globally. In addition, I am a 12x Salesforce-certified professional, a certified Scrum Master, and a contributor to Salesforce Ben, where I write about business analysis, strategy, and Salesforce best practices.
I believe Salesforce projects shouldn’t be chaotic, messy, or disconnected from real business and user needs. Good strategy, clean execution, and thoughtful planning make all the difference.
